Big Island Hawaii part 1

Dec 1-3, 2007 - Charlotte, Nc/Phoenix, Az/Kona, Hawaii

I guess we picked a good time to leave the homeland, in search of fairer climate, judging by the look of the forecast. We only get a week away on this island hot spot, but i'm hoping the rental jeep will make some lasting impressions.

We had the typical jet ride out, stopping in Philly, Charlotte, and then Phoenix, where we spent the weekend..

-Kailua Kona-

So, 5 or 6 hours and a few thousand miles of open water later, landed us in Kona, Hawaii. So we immediately rented a jeeep and went in search of suitable terrain.
